So ! was told adding a lemon to water makes it a little healthier, it’s a good detox kind of thing, and well a lime or lemon can make the drink all the better…until now!
Researchers in a new study swabbed the in’s and out’s of 76 lemons from 21 restaurants and found 70% OF THEM produced microbial growth.
Here’s the gross part… While researchers can’t pinpoint exatly where the bacteria comes from, most assume that it’s due to the restaurant employee, raw poultry or human fecal matter.
