Officials are investigating what sparked a fire in Timberlea that destroyed one vehicle and damaged the outside of a home.
The blaze broke out shortly after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at 120 Kodiak Cresent.
When emergency crews arrived, a vehicle in the driveway was completely engulfed in flames, damaging a car parked next to it, and the front of the garage.
Deputy Fire Chief Brad Grainger tells Mix News the damage could have been a lot worse.
“Quick awareness by the homeowners to call the fire department for us to get there and limit the damage to the house.”
Grainger notes nine firefighters and two fire trucks were on scene taking 27 minutes to put out the blaze.
He adds the vehicle was completely destroyed and was the spot the fire originated from.
No one was injured.
