You’re in luck if you’re looking to get to the Richardson backcountry.
The RMWB reopened the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road Sunday morning despite the culvert near the access of the Six Lakes recreational area still being washed out.
Access to the Richardson backcountry was closed on Thursday as a safety precaution due to wildfires in the area.
Deputy Chief of Operations Brad Grainger says those who use the road do so at their own risk and are encouraged to let others know where they are going.
If you’re in a dangerous situation – call 911.
