The Northern Lights Health Foundation is receiving funds for one of its projects in their Gratitude Campaign.
On Tuesday, Birch Mountain Enterprises donated $250,000 to the Minimally Invasive Surgical Suites project, which is the largest piece of the campaign.
“We are very proud to support the Northern Lights Health Foundation, helping our family, friends and community receive the first-class health care they deserve,” said Owner and President Chris Wilson.
The $7.6 million project looks to upgrade the Northern Lights Regional Centre’s four surgical suites improving recovery times and outcomes.
The new tech would lead to less time under anesthesia, quicker recovery, shorter hospital stays, less pain, better cosmetic results, and fewer complications.
Surgeons would also get more control over surgical spaces, resulting in quicker procedure and turnover times, the ability to train other physicians on-site, all while increasing safety for everybody.
The Gratitude Attitude Campaign is the biggest project the health foundation has ever taken on. They are trying to raise $16 million for eight different projects including MIS.
