Head coach of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons is being honored with another coaching award.
On Thursday, the Canadian Junior Hockey League named Tom Keca a finalist for Coach of the Year.
Earlier this year, Keca was also named the 2016-17 AJHL Coach of the Year, becoming the first MOB coach to receive the honour since Bob Murray in 1991-1992.
Keca has been bench boss of the Oil Barons for two years. In that time, he’s lifted the team from a 30-point season and a seventh place finish in the AJHL North Division in 2015-2016 to a first place finish during the most recent campaign.
