Several businesses in the RMWB are listing marketing assistance as their number one post-fire need.
The Wood Buffalo Recovery Task Force is releasing findings from its needs assessment survey ahead of this week’s Recovery Committee meeting.
The survey focused on performance, operational changes, and needs related to recovery with most calling for marketing assistance and access to financing.
In total, 64 businesses took part in the survey, with most saying there will be a chance for expansion, increased revenue and more opportunities during recovery.
However, the results also find most owners are currently facing issues with lack of employees and customers, as well as issues with operating costs.
The Task Force says their next steps will be to set up a Certified Management Coach and more learning events for businesses.
The full findings will be presented to the Recovery Committee at their meeting this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
