TransCanada will have to wait a little longer to get a decision on its Energy East Pipeline.
The National Energy Board announced on Friday, the new hearing panel assigned to review the Energy East and Eastern Mainline applications has voided all decisions made by the previous Hearing Panel.
This means anything decided up until this point will be removed from the official hearing record.
Some of the previous decisions that have been voided include, determination that the Energy East and Eastern Mainline applications are complete and a decision to review the applications via a single hearing.
The new Hearing Panel will now decide how to move forward with the hearing.
The Energy East Pipeline would carry bitumen resources from Alberta to Saint John, New Brunswick to give access to Atlantic markets.
