I cannot WAIT for season 2 of this show. With in the first week it came out I had finished it off. If you have read the books you already know the story. The show begins with a warning, a warning to turn off your TV and watch something else. This show isn’t happy, it won’t give you a warm fuzzy feeling. It’s called a series of unfortunate events for a reason.
The show follows the Baudelaire children Klaus, Violet, and Sunny. The 3 kids begin the show sitting on a beach playing like kids do when a Banker by the name of Mr. Poe comes and informs them that their parents had passed away and with that have an immense fortune coming to them when they come of age. Mr. Poe brings them to their new Guardian Count Olaf. Olaf is a crook, an evil horrible man, and all he wants is the fortune and will spend the rest of the children’s lives seeking it out. Death and sadness follows the Baudelaire’s.
The show featuring Neil Patrick Harris is easily 20x better than the 2004 movie. Every moment is either enjoyable or heart breaking and it constantly keeps you enthralled. I rate it 9.5 out of 10 on the Tyler Scale.
