The Municipality is inviting a team of economic experts to plan future supports in the region.
A group from Economic Developers Alberta will spend the week working with local businesses and key stakeholders to study the current challenges, progress of recovery and opportunities to improve the economic outlook.
In a release, EDA’s CEO Leann Hackman-Carty says they’re pleased to bring together this team of experts because they know that economic developers have a critical role to play in economic and business recovery efforts.
“Many communities across North America have experienced natural disasters in the past, and have valuable expertise to share with others.”

The team is expected to release their findings in March, outlining short to long-term recommendations that will help drive job creation and local commerce.
