Residents can head to Thickwood to enjoy a special light show.
Put on by Jon Tupper, the point of the show is to spread some holiday cheer and brighten up everyone’s mental health after the traumatic events in the spring.
Donations are welcomed and will be given to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Fort McMurray.
Fund Development & Event Coordinator, Emma Jones tells mix news the holiday season can add mental stress especially for people away from family.
“For loneliness we can always volunteer and help others in need during this time of year or do something you can enjoy, see holiday movie or treat yourself to a new book.”
Residents can enjoy the light show every evening for the next month starting from 6 p.m. and going every 45 minutes, until 9 p.m. During the weekend there will be an added show after 9 p.m.
For anyone interested, they can head down to 128 Royal Garden in Thickwood.
