The municipality has chosen Annette Antoniak as their interim CAO.
Antoniak is currently the CEO of the Regional Recreation Corporation and has held a number of high-profile positions, including stints as executive vice-president of Canada Place Corporation, president and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition, president and CEO of the B.C. Olympic and Paralympic Games Secretariat, and CAO of the City of Penticton.
In a release, Mayor Melissa Blake says they’re excited to have someone of Antoniak’s caliber join the Municipality’s leadership team.
“As a local resident, she knows our community well and brings tremendous personal skill, vision and business acumen to this important role.”
Antoniak says she’s pleased to be joining the RMWB.
“I look forward to working with Mayor and Council along with all the staff at the RMWB. This is an incredible opportunity to continue to serve the Wood Buffalo Region over the next year.”
Antoniak will take over the role on December 7th from outgoing CAO Marcel Ulliac, who announced earlier this year he is retiring.
