The Municipality says that crews are working to get the winter roads to Fort Chipewyan and La Loche ready, pending weather conditions.
To combat the warmer days, crews have started working at night until temperatures drop to acceptable freezing ranges.
Crews have begun work on the Fort Chipewyan road 50km north of Southgate. Initial flooding has started at river crossings for Rivière Des Rochers, Chenal des Quatre Fourches, and Embarras River.
On the La Loche winter trail, grading has begun on the first 15km, however, there is limited construction due to the lack of snow and frost.
