The Clearwater Horse Club is hoping to raise funds to raise barns.
Member Karla Kenny says the club was unable to get insurance on the barns and other buildings on the property destroyed by the wildfire because they lease the property from the RMWB.
Kenny says some horse owners were able to cover the loss of tack and other gear left in the barns through home insurance but others were not.
She says the main things is to rebuild the barns so horse owners can bringtheir horses back to the city.
Kenny is organizing the Raise the Barns fundraiser at the Townhall Public House tomorrow.
She says the event starts at four and features a 50/50 draw, a silent auction, and gift tree.
She adds anyone who has ever enjoyed events at the club like 4-H Club, pony rides, or family days is encouraged to join them or make a donation.
