The Wood Buffalo Food Bank will have a donation tent set up while Big Brothers Big Sisters will be selling tickets for its Rubber Duck Race.
Attendees will also have a chance to learn about sustainability and green technologies.
New this year is the free Community Kickoff BBQ presented by Suncor.
The BBQ will be September 2nd from four until seven for the first 2,000 attendees on site.
Also new to Sustainival this year is Honomobo, an alberta-based company which is launching its new pre-manufactured shipping container homes.
