The Wood Buffalo Recovery Committee will be holding its first public meeting with the chance for the community to see all nine members at work.
Delegates are welcome to head to the council chambers Wednesday August 3rd at 4 p.m.
Not many items are on the first agenda but they will be appointing a chair and vice-chair.
They are expected to give an update to Council sometime after the next two meetings, August 2nd and August 9th, on their progress and plans moving forward.
There was a motion to cancel the next two meetings to allow the RMWB more time to get prepared but councilors quickly denied the idea.
The idea moving forward is to have weekly meetings every Wednesday with delegates from the community welcome.
