Having left in quite the rush on May 3, many students didn’t get a chance to collect their personal belongings from their lockers at school.
With classes out for the summer, area schools are now organizing times for locker clean-outs for students and parents.
Ecole McTavish is offering pick-up until Thursday June 30 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while Composite High School is opening their doors between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Wednesday and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
If students or parents can’t make it by then, they’ll have to wait until August when the schools open back up again to prepare for the start of next school year. Ecole McTavish has set their re-opening date as August 17.
The Fort McMurray Catholic School District meanwhile is still in the process of having their schools cleaned. They’re dealing with requests for item pick-up on a case-by-case basis.
