Some outdoor recreation facilities will remain closed for a while yet.
The RMWB says several areas are undergoing tree removal for safety purposes in areas identified by FireSmart as potential wildfire hazards.

Crews have blocked access to the perimeter trails from the neighbourhood connectors and residents are advised to observe all barricades and temporary signage.
Spray parks across the region have opened although any outdoor recreation facility that is deemed unsafe or is in a restricted area is closed to the public and will remain closed and surrounded by fencing until further notice.
While the city cleans up public spaces, residents are strongly encouraged to dispose of yard debris using the paper yard waste bags.
Each household is limited to four bags of yard waste per week and anything inexcess of that can be brought to the public drop off area and the Fort McMurray Regional Landfill during regular operating hours free of charge.
