More services are being restored at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, but some patients are being asked to continue waiting.
Alberta Health Services announced this morning that ambulatory care, including endoscopy and stress testing, had been brought online at the hospital. The restoration marks their first return to “comprehensive medical care” in seven weeks, according to a press release this morning.
However, cancer care is not expected to be restored until early July. AHS is continuing to recommend that cancer patients not return to Fort McMurray until those services are brought back.
Dialysis service is expected to return on Wednesday, while NLRHC will welcome back their first five long-term care patients on Thursday.
