Bags that can hold up to 3,300 pounds of debris or waste are coming to the region.
This Monday the RMWB is launching a bagster waste collection program and providing a bagster free of charge to all residents who qualify for municipal curbside waste collection.
Each eligible household will be allowed a bagster to fill with smoke and fire damaged bulky items.
Area rugs, pillows, outdoor toys, and pet beds are the types of items allowed in the bagsters with electronics, mattresses, and hazardous waste not allowed.
The program is designed to assist residents who are unable to make it to a public drop off transfer station or who don’t have access to a vehicle large enough to haul away damaged goods.
Residents have to register for the program by calling the PULSE line and have until June 30 to do so.
Call 780-743-7000 to register.
