McDonald’s restaurants across Alberta will be seeing an influx of new employees as the company plans to add nineteen hundred new jobs across the province.
The company hopes to increase the number of Canadian employees to 100,000 by the end of 2017. In Fort McMurray, this translates to about 30 new jobs.
Carlin Koster, Operations Consultant for McDonald’s in Fort McMurray, says there are other changes on the way for the company. Table service and self-order kiosks are slated to be introduced soon.
The changes will be implemented at the Gregoire and Stony Creek McDonald’s locations, along with other stores across Alberta.
Koster says the changes will make a big difference in patrons’ experiences in-store.
“You’re going to see some new people working in the dining room.” said Koster.
“They are the guest experience leaders that are going to be doing table service as well as talking to you when you walk in the front door.”
