There’s a little more open space at the corner of Biggs Avenue and Morrison Street today.
That’s because the old Twin Pines Motel was razed yesterday, at the request of the property owner. Crews began demolishing the site in the late afternoon Sunday, leaving nothing but debris by Monday morning.

The municipality says the owner will incur the cost of both the demolition and site cleanup.
The RMWB adds that it is monitoring the air quality surrounding the site, as asbestos was found in the building before the demolition occurred.
There is no expected impact on traffic from the cleanup process.
