Wood Buffalo RCMP is seeking public input about policing policy.
The police agency is hosting a community consultation session tonight to help determine what the Annual Performance Plan for 2016-2017 will be.
The Annual Performance Plan is used by RCMP Detachments across the country to assist in meeting the goal of secure and safe communities and focuses on areas where attention is needed to improve public safety and reduce crime.
Corporal George Cameron says police want to hear from the public about the issues and if they’re being dealt with effectively.
“We want to come up with ideas, solutions that are going to help keep our community safer and to help us focus on areas where we should be focusing on,” says Cameron.
Cameron says the session is tonight at six at the Detachment on Paquette Drive.
