The Huskies are having a good weekend.
In men’s basketball, the team defeated the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings 94-55 and 76-68.
Their record is now 19 wins and five losses.
The team has also qualified for the 2015-2016 ACAC Men’s Basketball playoffs to be held in Olds March 3-5th.
The women split their games, winning the first one 66-51 but losing the second one 66-60.
The ladies record is now seven games won and 17 lost.
Meanwhile, the Huskies men’s volleyball team is off to a national tournament in less than two weeks.
They’re headed to the 2015-2016 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s National Volleyball Championships to be held March 10-12 in New Westminster, British Columbia.
This comes as the team picked up silver at the 2015-2016 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Championships in Edmonton on the weekend.
Top performers at the provincial championships were Blazej Pellowski and Riley Delavau.
And to wrap up, this coming weekend will be a busy one for the Huskies men’s hockey team.
They’ve qualified for the 2015-2016 ACAC playoffs and will host in a best-of-three semifinal series March 4-6 at Frank Lacroix Minor Hockey Arena against the MacEwan Griffins.
The Huskies split a pair of games against Concordia this weekend, losing the first one 4-2 but coming back to take the second game 5-2 last night.
Huskies record is now 16 wins, 12 losses, one overtime loss, and three ties.
